There is a brand new master planned, multi-generational (meaning a 55+ community built within a non-age restricted community) gated community opening in the Monroe-Woodbury area this Spring. Not much is known about the community yet but prices are projected to start around $380,000 for the active adult community. The homes being offered appear to all be of the single family variety (100% detached) but it is not yet known whether there will be a condo association and if so what it will cover on the home and it’s surroundings. Here are the early release specs from the builder:
“Located less than 1 mile from the NYS Thruway in the beautiful Hudson Valley is the area’s first multi generational gated community. This exciting new neighborhood combines Active Adult Homes for those 55 and better with Single Family homes to suit a variety of family lifestyles. The neighborhood exudes traditional neighborhood values. This is unmistakable from the Classic American architecture to the treelined streets and sidewalks. There are an array of community amenities which include Two Clubhouses, indoor pool, walking trails, community garden, Community Outdoor pool with kiddie pool, tot lot and sports courts, to name a few. The community also enjoys being a part of the Town’s “Woodbuy Rec”. A Town managed park system offering swimming, day camps, boating, fishing, sports fields and other recreational activites. This neighborhood will be most sought after for what it offers within the community and it’s premier location. It is by far the most conveniently accessible community in Orange County. Mass transit is located less than 1 mile from the neighborhood and can transport you to midtown Manhattan in less than 1 hour. It is located less than 1 mile from an assortment of shopping centers including the internationally renowed Woodbury Commons. The award winning Monroe-Woodbury Schools are within walking distance. And best of all it is located in the historic Hudson Valley, the home of a wide range of state parks (with lakes and extensive hiking trails) to recreation and dining along the Hudson River. Along with Ski resorts, wineries and more.”
